Animation of a Lackadaisical Cat
Over the holidays, I decided to make a graphical representation of how my family's cat prefers to spend his day.
More info: This relatively straight-forward animated loop of a cat sleeping on a couch was created via an Illustrator->AfterEffects workflow. After making the layers in Illustrator, assets were imported as vectors to AE.
If memory serves me correctly, I made an ellipse and selected it as the parent for the sun and moon, set to rotate throughout the composition. Lighting effects were created via lens flare and Lumetri color.
Lastly, I used the puppet warp tool for the whipping tail, and keyframed the scale of the cats torso to simulate breathing.
